Therapeutic groups providing crisis-driven psychological and social support to women and families affected by violence and trauma ❤️
The Family Protection Society began its therapeutic groups program initially with the families of martyrs as a first step to provide psychological and social support. The program has since expanded to include other women and families affected by violence and psychological stress.
These groups are typically formed during times of crisis, emergencies, or based on actual community needs to provide timely and effective psychological and social support. The sessions offer a safe space for participants to express their feelings and share experiences, guided by trained psychologists and social workers. Various techniques are used, including group discussions, expressive exercises, and relaxation methods, with a focus on building communication skills and self-awareness.
The aim of these groups is to strengthen the inner resilience of women and empower them to cope with psychological and social challenges in a balanced way, while also fostering a supportive network that has a lasting positive impact on individuals and the wider community.
