🏠 A Safe Shelter for At-Risk Women in Nablus

In the heart of Nablus, the Family Defense Society has established a safe house to protect Palestinian women who have been subjected to violence—whether physical, psychological, or social. This shelter offers a secure and supportive environment where women can begin to rebuild their lives away from danger.

🔹 Services Offered by the Safe House

The shelter provides a comprehensive range of services aimed at ensuring the safety, dignity, and empowerment of women, including:

Temporary Accommodation: A secure and confidential place for women and their children to stay.
Healthcare Services: Medical and psychological care provided in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Psychological Support: Individual and group counseling sessions to help women overcome the trauma of abuse.
Vocational Training and Education: Skill-building programs to promote economic independence.
Legal Support: Access to legal consultation and assistance with court procedures.
Cultural and Recreational Activities: Events and workshops that promote awareness, healing, and social reintegration.

🤝 Institutional and Community Collaboration

The safe house operates in partnership with various governmental and non-governmental organizations, which provide legal, financial, and health support. These partnerships strengthen the shelter’s ability to respond to the complex needs of women and help ensure its sustainability.
