One Heart, No Fear” Against Violence
In conjunction with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, a discussion forum entitled “One Heart, No Fear” was held today as part of the conclusion of a project implemented by the Family Defense Association in partnership with the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, with support and funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The meeting was attended by the Governor of Nablus, in cooperation with Al-Quds Open University, with the participation of university students and a number of local community institutions. It addressed issues of domestic violence, ways to raise community awareness, and the role of young people in helping to stop the cycle of violence.
This meeting reaffirms the importance of partnership between official, civil, and educational institutions and their role in promoting community awareness and joint action for a safer and more aware society.
